Friars Lacrosse vs. Delbarton (NJ)

The no.24 ranked team in the nation, Delbarton, took on the No.4 Friars of St.Anthony's at home in s. Huntington. In the previous meetings, the series was tied 5-5.
Within 2 minutes from the opening face off, the Friars got a goal from Sean McDonagh. A minute later, Delbarton got an equalizer to tie it. At the end of the quarter the game was tied 2 all. The second quarter however, was dominated by the Friars, with two back to back goals by Sean McDonagh and Christian Bernado. The Friars closed out the half with a goal from Joe LoCascio to go up 5-3.
After a Delbarton turnover,Brian Sherlock gave the Friars another two goal lead with 15.8 seconds remaining in the 3rd quarter. Kieran Burke had two nice saves in the 4th quarter to maintain the Friar lead. Sean McDonagh, a junior who is commited to Harvard led the Friars with four goals on the day.The Friars closed out the game with a score of 8-6.
